My Students

My students and I are blessed to learn at a beautiful, rural school in South Carolina. While the outside may look like your typical elementary school, you will quickly feel the difference once you walk through our front entrance. We are on the positive energy bus. My students are learning that they can drive their own "bus" by creating a positive vision and "driving" with a purpose. They are learning to transform their negativity and "fuel their ride" and others with positive energy!

While many of my students have faced obstacles and challenges in and out of school, they are learning the power of positive energy!

We celebrate success as a classroom family and encourage each other to try our best every day. If you entered our classroom, you would hear us excited to learn by shouting, "Yes, Yes, Yes" and cheering our classmates on with our Energy Bus Cheer, "You're Awesome, You're the Best, You Rock!" We have worked hard to create a positive, supportive classroom family where all students are encouraged and supported to try something new. My students love to learn and share their learning with others. It is truly a great place to learn!

My Project

When you walk in our classroom, you may think you see messes, hear lots of chatter and children having too much fun but it is really a disguise of kindergartners hard at work and learning.

We work hard all day and we need a sturdy and long-lasting solution to help keep students organized and help them learn how to take responsibility for their own work.

Having a classroom storage system is essential in a kindergarten classroom. We need a place to hold our folders, organize daily work, store books and collect mail. Many of my students need to have their own personal space and this allows them to have just that. We currently have a mailbox system made out of cardboard and you can tell by looking at it that it has been well used and loved but needs to be retired. This classroom organization station is made out of heavy-duty laminate and features 36 compartments that are perfectly sized to hold assignments, school-to-home communication and more. Plus, the unit rolls on 4" locking casters, so we will be able to set up this unit anywhere that we need it!

This is exactly the unit we need to continue keeping our work organized and keeping students responsible for putting their items away. Most importantly it will last a long time instead of only getting at most one year out of a cardboard mailbox system. Thank you for considering to support the kindest kindergarten students!
