Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a pre-K through fifth grade school, with just over 600 students. There are a large number of our students who receive free or reduced-price lunch. All of our students, this year, qualify for a free breakfast program!

Even though we are located in a low socioeconomic area, it is clear that parents want the best for their children.

My students face many daily challenges, and organization is one of them.

Having the seat sacks will allow my second class to have materials in an organized way. Seat sacks also allow students to keep their learning space tidy so they are not overwhelmed and/or distracted by a number of wonderful materials they use on a daily basis.

My Project

Due to limited space in our classroom and having two math and science classes, my students need seat sacks to store their supplies and keep it organized. A seat sack will be provided to each chair. The students will use the seat sack to store their classroom books and daily work. Since our room is shared with two classes, sharing a desk is not always easy. Having the seat sack will help the students stay organized.

The seat sacks will allow the students to have more space at their desk to work and explore new things without having their books and supplies in the way!

Seat sacks also allow students to keep their learning space tidy so they are not overwhelmed and/or distracted by a number of wonderful materials they use on a daily basis.
