Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The upper grades in elementary school is the beginning of a future filled with assessments, published pieces, and works to show off with pride. We are working so hard to build organization and independence with our students, and managing materials is a huge part of that.

Our students are from immigrant families who are very hard working with a focus on education.

They value the contributions that our school makes in their child's lives, and rely on us to teach them not only academic content, but important life skills.

My Project

These binders and index tabs will allow each student to have their own personal space to store, revisit, and organize their assessments. A system to organize assessments and published works would enable our students to have better management of materials and further enhance their executive functioning in preparation for middle school.

The management of key materials for my students will provide them a space in the classroom to self-monitor their goals, strengths, and improvements in all academic subject areas over the course of the school year.
