Organization is a skill that we all rely on. Even as adults, we have found ways to organize how to manage ourselves to be successful with the demands of life. This project is designed for a group of 7th grade students to develop and strengthen their executive functioning skills. The binders and dividers in this project will specifically be used within my advisory group to teach them important organizational skills as they embark on their middle school journey. These materials are essential to provide different opportunities for students to develop strong organizational and time management skills.
Middle school is a time for students to begin to develop these essential skills which are also lifelong skills they need for ultimate success.
The funding of his project will allow me to provide every student in my advisory (homeroom) with a binder and dividers so I can teach them specific organizational strategies to stay organized. I will use these materials to help maintain organization within the classroom setting which will allow students with the opportunities to learn new executive functioning skills while strengthening the skills they already have.
The funding of this project will provide students with the necessities to teach specific executive functioning skills that are so desperately needed in today's technological world where everything is at their finger tips. Students need to be able to have problem solving skills as an essential life skill.
