Organization for Traveling Students

My Students

My students are all unique and special in their own way. They are a typical classroom with students that are on level, below, and some that are above. However, their behavior is exceptional and they deserve every opportunity to be successful. They have never had to travel from class to class before. Therefore, providing the materials to aid in organization is crucial.

There are two groups of students that I will be focusing on this year, of about 40 students.

I will be teaching these students social studies, ELA, and writing. The other fifth grade teacher will be teaching math and science. The carts and pouches will help provide the opportunity for students to be responsible and have a place to put their belongings. This will also provide the sense of belonging which will help them feel more comfortable which we know is vital for success.

The reason why the books were provided was because they are written on a lower level to help reach out to my struggling student. The mechanical pencils also provide an incentive in the writing process. All kids want to write with the mechanical pencil, right?

My Project

Hello! First of all, thank you for taking your time out to read about how my students are in need of materials. The materials that I put on my wish list will mainly provide students the possibility to be organized while traveling. I am also asking for some additional books to help effectively teach writing to my struggling students.

The materials that I'm asking for will allow students to be organized and help aid in their overall success.

The carts will allow students to store books in my classroom at all times. The pencil pouches will also allow students the opportunity to travel with their belongings from group to group. The students are not used to traveling so providing them this type of structure is crucial and important to me as a teacher.
