Organization For The New School Year

My students need chair pockets to stay organized throughout the day. Since our second grade class will have 30 students, transitioning to get their reading books and journals need to be kept at a minimum.

My Students

My students walk into the classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I make sure to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. Every day is an adventure with many hidden treasures to discover. I feel very fortunate to influence their lives, as they do mine.

My Project

In our classroom our tables do not have drawers so all of the students materials need to be stored in various parts of the room.

Chair pockets would be placed on the back of each student's chair to make it convenient to store their most used materials throughout the day.

Book baggies that hold their weekly reading books and their guided reading books are stored in their chair pockets. A writing journal is also stored in their chair pockets which is used when they have completed their work early. The students can simply turn around and take out their journals or reading books without moving around the classroom and disturbing other students.
