My Students

I am the math content leader for a small, rural school district in Western New York. The students here come to school everyday with a smile on their face, ready to learn and enjoy the day's lessons.

The students come from many different backgrounds but all have something in common - they love learning.

The students love STEAM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math - activities. The students are growing up in a world in which they will need such skills and content knowledge. As a teacher I look to provide as many of these opportunities as possible to my students.

My Project

As the math intervention teacher at my school the students travel to my classroom from their homerooms. I only have 15-20 minutes at a time with my students. Therefore every minute counts! Time spent trying to locate materials is instructional time lost.

By giving my students a way to organize and keep their materials in my classroom more time can be spent on instruction.

Students won't need to spend time gathering materials from their homeroom to bring to my classroom. They also won't have to run back to their homerooms to grab items they may have forgotten.
