My Project

The goals for this project are to provide students with compact storage for classroom materials, provide students' privacy during assessments, a magnetic rod to hold classroom anchor charts, and an ergonomical teacher chair for working with students on the carpet.

My classroom is compact!

I need to make the most out of every inch in the room. By using a 3 drawer storage container at the front of each group of tables, it will allow six students to store their reading anthologies, math books, white boards and computer headphones. Students will also use the top of the bin to place their water bottles.

The privacy partitions will provide students space to focus solely on their own work in a compact space while completing assessments. I want to know what each student knows, not what their neighbor knows.The magnetic rod will hold anchor charts pertaining to math, reading comprehension, phonics and writing in an organized fashion on the white board.

The clipboards will be used to showcase published student work. Using a clipboard keeps work in a better condition when returning material to parents. Lastly, the ergonomic chair will provide support to me, the teacher, and allow me to sit closer to the floor with my students.
