As a teacher in a Title I School in Seattle, WA, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My students are diverse as a rainbow, full of beautiful colors and personalities!
These students deserve to learn just as much as other schools, which led me here to DonorsChoose. Help me provide the things they need to enhance their learning!
My Project
These materials will give my students the opportunity to stay organized. Homework books will teach students responsibility and organizational skills they need for life. Pencil cases and paper trays will help students keep their own materials organized so they are more accessible.
Donate so we can be snug as a rug!
A classroom rug will open up the door to many new opportunities, such as meeting together in a comfortable space, collaboration, respecting boundaries and adding to our classroom decor. Soft seats are also something students can use when reading around the room, working with partners or even a way to help students focus through movement.
Finally, Time For Kids and Holiday books offer my students the ability to read more nonfiction texts as well as learn about what is going on in our country and world.
The rest of the materials are classroom supplies that will be used daily, such as color pencils, construction paper, pencils and more.
