Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My fifth graders are inquisitive, full of energy and they have an eagerness to learn that is unmatched! It is a pleasure to walk into my classroom every day because I know my students will give their all to achieve their goals. Their excitement for learning keeps me going each and every day.

I have the great pleasure of having a very diverse population of students in my classroom, each very unique in learning style and academic capabilities.

New York City is home to a diverse culture and a wide range of socioeconomic statuses, which are seen throughout the city and in each one of the classrooms. We have a high percentage of students who receive free or reduced-price lunches.

My Project

My students have been through a lot in their young lives. We just went through a pandemic where lives were lost and the families are struggling to put food on the table.

Help me help my students and their families succeed this school year by giving them all the school supplies they will need.

The students need whiteboards to show their work and their thinking to not only the teacher but to one another. The bins will help us keep organized in our flexible seating classroom. Of course, the Clorox disinfectant will help us all keep safe during this pandemic.
