Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many students with ADHD not only struggle with managing attention and focus but with organization, too. I have students in different grade levels that leave completed homework at home and lose points because they can't turn it in. Some of them open their backpacks and are attacked by a mountain of unorganized papers. They need a simple organization tool that is easy for them to use successfully. Vertical accordion file folders will be used with color coded tabs to provide easy organization.

Calming strips, marble mesh, and squeeze bean fidgets will be quiet ways they can help manage attention and focus.

Ear buds will be given to two students who benefit from listening to music while they work. It provides them with enough stimulus to help them focus. These hacks will be given to these students, and they will be taught how to use them to their benefit. Regular check-ins will help them become accountable for proper use.
