This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love high interest groups, but also learning about people they may have heard of every now and again. However, many books on these historical figures are too difficult, long, and I hate to say it, but boring. These "I am....: Ordinary People Change the World" books are wonderful, full of life, and make a connection to the reader while teaching about the amazing historical individual. These books will be perfect to help my students learn to read, and love to read. Please help us get these books so they may begin their love of reading.
