My Project

Building my Speech Teacher toolbox has a mixture of emotional support toys, a library system, and games that allow language to grow in so many ways. There are so many ways to elicit language skills and one of the most successful way is making reading fun. In previous settings where I had access to a library that was visible to my students, they were requesting and communicating about the books displayed. I would love to have that in my new job. In my job, I work with kids who need help regulating their emotions. Having games and sensory toys has proven to uplift kids' emotions to help make the most of our sessions, which will eventually carry over to the classroom. With the items on my list, success in the speech room is possible!
