This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students walk through the doors of my elementary school ready to learn. They are eager learners that use the resources available to them to become better mathematicians. They know that to be successful in the real world they must develop excellent number sense. They are taught to love math and use it every day as a source of enjoyment.

My students are hungry for knowledge about the world they will soon inherit.

We have amazing support from our families. Even with family support additional money is needed to provide my students with resources to be amazing mathematicians.

My Project

This STEM kit will continue to enhance the real-world classroom that I strive to create. My classroom STEM lab is a place that my students really enjoy-They common everyday materials to solve and create solutions to real-world problems! Every student respects and takes care of the materials that make-up the STEM lab. All of my STEM lessons are based upon Next Generation Science Standards. Students are given problems and they use the STEM lab to create solutions that could be used in the real-world..

With this STEM kit, my students will not only create solutions for problems, but they will develop critical team-building skills that can be used as they continue their educational journey.

The best way to increase STEM knowledge is to practice. This kit will give my students yet another opportunity to hone their STEM skills.
