Help me give my students organization and new opportunities. The bookshelves and storage container will help us organize our supplies. The stools will provide some flexible seating options.
I have a classroom full of 25 creative, energetic, and outgoing scholars! They love thinking outside of the box, and engaging in hands-on activities. Our room is always full of laughter and positive energy. As a fifth grader unfortunately we are required to do a lot of testing. So in an effort to counteract the stress of testing we dance, sing, and start up a random teacher vs student game.
My elementary school is in the heart of Apopka, Florida.
Some of our families are low income families. When my students walk into the classroom I want them to let go of everything that is going on at home, and focus on learning in an exciting environment.
My Project
This year my classroom is in a new portable. Unfortunately the portable does not come equipped with a lot of furniture. I would like to take my drab classroom and make it a more vibrant learning experience.
I would like to add these bookshelves and organization stations to my classroom.
The bookshelves will be filled with a variety of AR books that the students can read throughout the year. These books will help the students enhance their vocabulary and take them on an adventure.
The organization station will be used to store all of the classroom supplies.
The stools will be used to at a special table known as the
"Think Tank" this is a table where students will be allowed to collaborate on assignments. I want to use the stools to distinguish the area, and make it a special zone in the classroom.
