Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

First grade is the best! Students come to school excited to learn and are eager to share their learning with their classmates. In first grade we focus on reading, math and writing- learning to do our best in each subject each and every day.

My school is ethnically diverse with students from all over our community.

Many of my students come from very low socioeconomic backgrounds.

My Project

Each student that comes into my classroom has their own individual learning space at their table. At their tables, children learn how to work with others in our cooperative learning environment and help one another in mastering the skills we are working on.

My students need organizational tools which will help them to stay organized and able to work both independently as well as in cooperative learning groups.

Donations to this project will help my students with their organizational skills which will help them in all subjects we focus on in first grade.

Seat sacks will give my students the tools that they need to be successful in their independent work as well as learning organizational skills that will help them in first grade and beyond.
