My Project

My students are a bright, enthusiastic group who love to learn—especially when it comes to stories that make them laugh! They’re curious, creative, and ready to dive into anything that catches their interest. Many of them are still growing in their love for reading, and I want to help them discover the joy of books that feel fun, fresh, and relatable.

Reading should be an adventure, and these graphic novels will turn every reading session into a thrilling new journey for my students.

Pizza and Taco and Waffles and Pancakes bring humor and friendship to the forefront, while Frizzy tells a heartwarming story of self-acceptance and growing confidence. My students will see themselves in these characters, and the humor and adventure in these books will keep them turning pages. These books aren't just for fun—they also build reading comprehension, vocabulary, and social-emotional skills.

These graphic novels are the perfect way to inspire a love of reading. They’ll feel more confident in their reading abilities, connect with the characters, and learn valuable life lessons along the way. With your support, my students will have books in their hands that will make them excited to read and help them grow as learners in a meaningful way.
