My Project

We will transform our classroom into a surgery room where students will dress as surgeons to practice various math skills. This hands-on activity helps secure skills while students showcase what they know by performing 'surgery' on mathematical problems. An engaging and fun classroom where students are practicing skills while making connections with a room transformation leads to greater understanding. The operating room theme will instantly pique the students’ interest. I plan to use these materials to help enhance my math spiral review and test prep activities. Students will also learn about a career opportunities in the medical field.
