My Project

As educators, the most important aspect of our career is our students and their well-being. It is our job to ensure that they are given the best possible education possible in-spite of things that occurs within our control as well as out of our control. The materials that I am requesting are very beneficial to the teaching and learning process that goes on in my classroom, such as copy paper, headphones, folders, and snacks. A large number of our students were recently affected by a natural disaster (tornado) and suffered a great loss. This loss includes the desire to attend school due to losing their homes and other personal belongings. In order for our students to learn, they have to feel safe and believe that all is well. I am asking for several items that I know will benefit my students in class as we continue the teaching and learning process via hands on projects.

My class is designed as a Project-Based Learning environment.

The materials that I requested will be vital in them being able to learn what I am teaching them as well as to actually construct projects. Our students need to know that regardless of losing material things, life still goes on. Therefore, giving them the opportunity to be engaged in class activities and have all the necessary items is a major plus.
