My Project

My students like writing in handmade journals but when I give them their own special journal their creativity comes out. They love using writing tools like colored pencils and gel pens in their special writing journals. My students become writing specialists. The pictures are detailed oriented and the story is an imaginative creation of their kindergarten minds. Their writing grows so much and it brings a smile to my face.

Every child is presented a journal and I explain how special it is to have earned one.

They believe their work will get published and shared at our publishing party. It is a big honor to present and I make sure everyone has an opportunity to share at one of our publishing parties. The children inspire each other and I truly believe the journal is the kickstarter that makes it all happen.
