My Students

My students attend a Title I school. This year I have been working with second graders in my school. They are students of varying backgrounds. The class is a mixture of general education students and English Language Learners.

The students are working so hard to get through this ever-changing year!

They try their hardest to work as smoothly as they can going between remote and in-person learning.

My Project

My students will be so excited to explore the books in this project! My students love the Elephant and Piggie, the Pete the Cat, and the Princess in Black series. I would also love to introduce them to the Magic Tree House series and the Wayside School series. I also wanted to add more books at their reading levels that held high interest.

My students will love to borrow these books from the classroom library!

I hope that building the classroom library will help my students to become more interested in reading and help to build them up as readers.

Since this last year has been so difficult for my students, I hope that providing them with new enticing titles will help draw them into become lovers of readers.
