This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Education is not preparation for life, education is life itself." In my class, education is recognized as wonderful learning opportunities everyday experiences provide. A typical day revolves around children having instincts, activities, and important skills that allow them to move around freely.

As a teacher helping my children to read will make a lasting positive difference to their lives.

Exposure to written and printed texts is essential for developing the ability to read. However, one of my greatest challenges is a lack of books and other learning materials. I work in a low income school where materials and resources are not readily available. I work in a 12:1:1 special education class. My children range from emotional disturbed to intellectual disabled. The more resources available lead to more opportunities for my children to succeed in the ever growing society where they already faces many challenge.

My Project

These materials will be used to give students multiple means of representation of concepts, multiple means of expression for students to demonstrate what they have learned. These materials will be an aid to understanding and expand content experience to demonstrate the concept being taught. These materials of instruction and tangible items will be used to support the instruction and create positive outcomes for diverse learners. These materials are carefully selected to meet the needs of each individual child. It is important to have plenty of real items or materials to reflect children's lives and guide them in their learning process. These materials will be used on a daily basis to increase each activity that may bring advances in learning of the curriculum and that maybe difficult for the children. These materials will modify the learning of lessons to help the children learn with ease.

Donations to this project will improve my class by creating a stimulating, engaging, and successful learning experience for my students.

This project will make my classroom an exciting environment where learning will hold students' fascination and students learn best when they are both challenged and interested. This will help inspired and the change the lives of my students by encouraging them to fulfill their potential and do their utmost best.
