This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A typical day in our classroom is very busy. We have 34 very active children. Our biggest challenge is a lack of technology. Kids today have grown up on technology. Charts & markers are just not cutting it. We just received our beautiful new document camera & now we need a projector to go with it.

My Project

Our school is located in East Flatbush Brooklyn. We are located in a K & 1 annex. Our main building is about a mile away, because of this we have no technology. My class is made up of 34 first grade students. The children have a wide range of reading and math levels. They are wonderful students who deserve the best!
