My students come together from many different backgrounds and abilities to create a beautiful community we call home. On our campus, we have both self-contained Montessori classes and self-contained gifted classrooms, as well as our mainstream classrooms, so we are able to meet a large variety of learning styles and student needs.
I teach middle school and love to be there for them during this crucial time in their lives, when their minds are changing and they're starting to see how they might fit into the larger world.
I strive to encourage them to see their futures as attainable and important. I believe all of our students will make an impact on their community.
My Project
Our students are in the flux of Covid and are not consistently able to be in the classroom. With Studies Weekly online articles, they get access to video clips, graphic organizers, and lots of great science activities to each topic.
The best feature is that the lessons have a read aloud feature to support developing readers.
Providing consistent online curriculum for home-based learners is critical until all students can return safely to school. Studies Weekly is aligned to our state standards and makes learning virtually relevant for students. This makes the planning and executing of great instruction really easy.
