Help me give my students the best use of our instructional time together. A reliable MacBook Pro will allow me to teach on various platforms without being frozen and have to restart my computer.

My Students

My students are a fun, eclectic bunch, even though I have only known them for a few weeks. I can see and feel their personalities online, and they are engaging, friendly, and eager to learn, especially after the fourth quarter of last year brought their traditional learning to a halt.

As the only online learning teacher for my grade level, I am their lifeline to learning and their constant companion of their educational journey.

Since many parents did not feel it was safe to expose their children to coming to school every day during the Covid epidemic, I am here to bring the learning to life from my classroom and straight to their homes.

My Project

Having a faster speed, more reliable laptop will help keep my 50 online learning students engaged. With my school issued laptops, pages often take forever to load or freeze completely. I even have to leave my own meeting to log in again, because they size of our Google Meets meeting is too much for my laptops to handle. With each delay, I know students can quickly lose interest or get off task.

I know by using a MacBook Pro, I will be able to open those documents with the Kami app and start notation on our slides, to help the students see what the important points are.

I will be able to film and upload tutorial videos for lessons that they may need more practice on.

In a nutshell, by having a more reliable piece of technology, I will be providing the students with a more reliable teacher who will be unstoppable.
