Online Course for Autism

My Project

This is the second of a two part course. The courses covers evidence-based practices to use with students with autism. I teach middle school aged students with autism.

The topics covered in this course are: discrete trial training, antecedent-based interventions, peer-mediated instruction, differential reinforcement, time delay, self-management, person-first language, music intervention, and video modeling.

These are all research-based practices to teach skills to students with autism.

The knowledge from this course will help me teach my students.

Donors like you would make it possible for me to take both courses to increase my knowledge of working with students who have been diagnosed with autism.

The limited amount of professional development provided does not cover both courses.

The students we work with are from 23 different school districts. We serve the students whose disabilities are so severe that they can not be serviced in their home schools.
