This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Despite living in the city's second densest neighborhood, my students come to school with smiles on their faces ready to get down to the business of creating, reading, writing, and problem solving.

My students are eager to learn and motivated to make the world a better place.

They are truly a special group that works collaboratively and independently to meet their academic and personal goals. They aren't scared of challenges and they know the meaning of "productive struggle." Watch out world!

My Project

A good story will captivate my students immediately and completely. They sit entranced and raise their hands to tell me connections they are making to the story, predictions they have, and questions they want me to answer.

Story time is the perfect opportunity to introduce topics that will help teach my student kindness and compassion.

I want my students to cherish the diversity that exists in society and have opportunities to learn about people who may be different than them. These new books offer a variety of characters and stories that will help my students ask questions and discuss ideas in a safe and loving environment.

As an educator, I try to make this world a better place by nurturing intelligent and kind citizens who want to add more love to the world. These books are part of that vision. Thank you for your support!
