My Students

We are reaching the end of the school year and what a year it has been! Meeting each other for the first time at the beginning of the year, my students and I have become family and have enjoyed learning together. The learning has not always been easy, as my students learn a bit differently than their general education peers. But they have made huge gains and would like to be rewarded with a pool party! Thanks to parent approval, I think we can make this happen.

My students have voted unanimously for a splash park field trip experience and I think they should enjoy one!

With 100% parent approval, it's time to get the ball rolling on planning the field trip. The huge obstacle for us, which could prevent it all, is the transportation needed to get us there safely. We have had success with getting funded with a particular company for our district. Due to their reasonable rates, as well as their safety reputation within the district, we would like to use them again!

My Project

I typically like to do two end of the year field trips with my students at the end of the year. So far, we have been provided transportation to our first location. Now, we are in need of transportation for our 2nd and last field trip of the school year. The best part is that this is a field trip in which parents would like to join in on the fun!

We'd like to take our talents to an indoor splash park which is about 10-15 miles away from our school.

This location was chosen for two important reasons. While we have just entered into the season of Spring, we never know what the weather will bring. To provide my students with a rain free experience, we have chosen Rolling Crest Splash Park, which is all indoors. Despite the spring weather, students will able to enjoy their time without worrying about the rain. Another bonus is that the facility has several lifeguards on hand and they provide a safety course for all users of the facility. Fortunately for me, my students are all able to swim, with some students practicing throughout the year.

We are hoping that you will be able to help us with one of our last field trips of the school year. We could really use a bus to get us to our destination!
