Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My fifth grade class consists of 18 smart, enthusiastic and energetic students who strive everyday to excell in their academics. They are kind hearted and always try to do the right thing. My students enjoy reading, Mathematics and technology. This group of kids come from many different economic backgrounds. They have hard working parents that came to this country in order to see their sons and daughters achieve their dreams. Our school is a Title I school. 85 % of my class have free or reduced lunch. Many of them are being raised by a single parent; others have parents that cannot assist them in their school work due to the fact that they do not speak English.

This amazing group of students all share the love for technology and they have very strong opinions as to why technology is imprerative to their lives and their success in learning.

They are constantly asking questions and inquiring about different topics!!!

My Project

My fifth grade students are very interested in technology. They are an amazing group of students who have many questions about different topics.

Having their very own laptop in our classroom, will assist my students in their continued search for answers!!!

They will be able to use this laptop on a daily basis as one of our centers. Also, it would be a great incentive for them to work hard on completing research. Science is the subject we are focusing on with our students this year! This form of technology would be very helpful in acquiring the science standards needed for success.
