My Project

Working with children aged 0 to 3 and 3 to 5 affords me the opportunity to show and teach them new things, ideas and help shape the world for preschool children and toddlers. These are milestone years and development changes occur daily. The books I have chosen grow with the children, each child gets to learn colors, shapes, develop fine motor and cognitive skills as well as early math and science. They will also give the children a chance to learn at home with parents learning everyday tasks, such as tying shoes, or learning colors . Each one of the 50 children in my program will get an individual book of their own and be able to work with it by themselves or with the parents.

During home visits, the books can be utilized by the parents and kids together, showing what they are learning.

Home visits allow families and myself to work together in a partnership to ensure the child or children are learning and geting prepared for Kindergarten. The busy books include STEM learning, and encourage cognitive, fine motor and repetition for the children.

Utilizing these books with the Plan and Play curriculum ensures we are doing our best to accomplish free learning and allowing children to engage with parents to form healthy relationships and enhance learning at home. The purchase will be a great addition to the Early Childhood Program and will continue to help teach our children life skills started when they are born.
