My Project

The students in the building that I currently work in are always on the go and now with warmer weather upon us their smell is starting to grow. Many of the students on our Special Olympics teams have to wake up on their own and get themselves to school with little to no parental guidance and are responsible for their own health care and snacks.

Since these students are not always getting the necessary personal hygiene items, nutrition, and adequate clothing and shoes at home, then it becomes our responsibility at school to help enlighten them and help carry their load.

These students often seek assistance when in need from the school nurse or counselor. So, these items will be housed in their office for easy accessibility.

Providing these items at this level will help boost their self-esteem and confidence as well when everyone smells better. Several of our students often wear shoes that are broken down or smell really bad causing others to notice. With your donation, the students that partake in the adequate shoes that don't smell and will be able to walk the halls with one less thing to worry about. And if we are able to provide for one student to help make their life better then we have served our purpose.
