My Students

In our high school there is one computer for every twenty-nine students! Most of these computers are located in the often over-crowded library. The students over and over have voiced their desires for more access to computers.

Our students were recently finalists in a contest to win $100,000 for technology for our school, and they fell just short in the voting.

However they still desperately need more access to computers. In the Microsoft Challenge, Bing gave away several three dollar coupons that our community received as a thank-you for voting. Even though they didn't win, they can dedicate those coupons to getting technology through donors choose!

My Project

My students need more access to technology through a laptop computer for our classroom. I'm requesting a laptop for the students to use for school projects and to learn to access the internet for research. Recently, education has been pushing what they call twenty-first century readiness. In order for these student to be ready for that world, they understand they need to be comfortable using the latest technology. Another computer in our building would help them achieve this. Your generous contributions will allow the students in my classroom to have more access to develop and use technology

My job is to prepare students for a SUCCESSFUL future.

This computer would give them one more tool to achieve that success. They students have been working very hard to gain more access to technology and as their teacher I want to support their quest!
