My Students

I teach 26 general education, ENL kindergarteners. Our class is comprised of students of all different learning abilities, languages and experiences. Many of my students come from families who are new to the country and many of these young learners are coming to school for the first time to learn to speak, understand, read and write English. I also have students who receive services for speech and OT. My students come from varied backgrounds with different economic needs. These Kindergarteners are eager learners who want to succeed!

My Project

When some children have “ants in their pants“ or just need a sensory break, these seats will come in handy. Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. We can use these colorful disks throughout the room all day long. We spend a lot of time sitting on the floor whether we are independently reading, at our listening center , doing math activities or listening to a lesson. These flexible seats will help children with sensory issues and it will offer a soft comfortable seat for the other children.
