My Students
My students are some of the most fun, brilliant, hard-working kids I’ve ever met! They are incredibly eager to learn about all things MUSIC! They sing, play instruments, perform in school theatre productions, all while maintaining their academic work. They truly do it all!
One of the most fulfilling parts of my job is putting the instruments in the hands of the band students for the first time and seeing the wonder and excitement in their eyes.
It reminds me why I began playing music myself, and why I truly have the best job in the world!
My Project
Earlier this school year, I set a goal to purchase 2 Alto Saxophones for my amazing band students at using crowd-funded sources. On another platform, I was able to raise money for and purchase 1 of the 2 Alto Saxophones, which is being used by one of my 5th grade students. I’ve decided to complete this project on DonorsChoose.
With your help, I will be able to put a brand new instrument in the hands of the students.
Students feel more confident and motivated when they are using instruments in better playing condition, and I want to give my students every opportunity to perform at the highest level. I hold my students to high expectations and I am confident they will not only meet my expectations but exceed them with the help of the right equipment.
