Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Our preschool program for children with special needs opened last February 6th, and we are still building the materials and resources needed for our classroom. Since our students are under the age of five, we want to utilize all learning and teaching resources to help set a solid foundation for their early developmental years.
Technology has become an integral part of education, and it allows learning and teaching be more meaningful and engaging.
With an iPad, we will be able to incorporate assistive technology as appropriate for children with special needs and/or developmental delays. We will also explore digital literacy with our preschoolers, whether they listen to an online storytelling or create a digital book themselves. We will also utilize the iPad for our music and movement activities by connecting it to a projector for a wider screen view. Lastly, an iPad will also allow teachers to document, save, and share what our preschoolers learned in class that day for a particular lesson and/or specific targeted skills to keep track of their individual progress.
