My Project

Asking for funding for the basics is almost embarrassing - but the basics are not free. In my district, the basics are coveted. and they do go fast. Paper, tape, folders- these consumables are in high demand, and providing them for my students is my goal. Requesting families to purchase these items is often a tactic, but many times, the families of my students cannot afford to supply our classroom.

Students will benefit from these tools, because without proper (basic) tools, proper results can be challenging.

Paper and pencils are necessary to supplement the online work. While technology is used in my classroom, students need to know how to write, and organize, and need not worry about not having their basic needs met. The students are privy to what a well-resourced school looks like between social media and general media They've all seen classrooms where a pencil is not an issue or where the chaos is evident because students are under resourced and therefore unable to work sans stress. Students who are able to bring in their own supplies are rare, and that privilege can sometimes present a socio-economic divide..

Keeping this short and sweet, I would be ever so grateful if these basics are granted. Thanks in advance for your thoughtful generosity.
