Our students are resilient as they face challenges that are not of choice on a daily basis. Where 90% plus are living amongst a demographic area of poverty. Giving different circumstances from day by day, these students come to school knowing that consistently they have a safe place where they can learn and engage with caring adults.
As a Community School we are a hub for our students and families offering them wraparound services, extetented learning opportunities, and academic support.
A welcoming school environment that would be encouraging to our students and that would provide a positive climate, supporting the desire to attend school daily is our goal while meeting the needs of our students.
The books and SEL tools would support our students with emotional regulations and learning the meanings of their feelings. The books will assist the Students Services Team and woulf br used as incentives in our vending book machine.
The SEL toys will aide our calming corners in the classrooms and used as incentives in our Dragon Cart. The motivational stickers and poster will help our students develop and continue to develop social emotional skills and encourage them to make the best choices and feeling good about themselves.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated and would impact our student's success in the most positive way. Thank you in advance for playing an intergral part of our student's success and supporting our teacher's classrooms at Dr. Samuel A. Mudd Elementary School.
