This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our 500+ students come from different neighborhoods all over the city making our small school a truly diverse and unique learning community.
Students bring to our school their unique perspectives, experiences, and passions making our community a safe haven for inquiry, activism, and growth.
My Project
Please help me in my goal of purchasing and mailing one copy of All American Boys to each and every member of our school to read and share together. Through this project our school will be able to share in our love of reading and continue to open up safe spaces to explore the world we all navigate.
All American Boys by Jason Reynolds and Brendan Kiely tackles a variety of themes that will encourage our community to talk about issues that affect us all.
If this project is funded we will be able to ensure that every member of our school will have a book to share together.
