My Students

Every day my students greet me at the door with a high five or some form of a handshake. They are eager to start the day and are excited about learning. What they are most excited about is afternoon play centers where they have free choice of their learning.

We are in a rural community where many of my students don't have opportunities to experience the world.

I strive to provide a brain-compatible classroom for all my students through cooperative learning and conscious discipline.

My Project

I want to give my students a chance to write and act out their own version of a fairy tale. There are so many different stories in the world today that need to be told. I want my students to be able to tell their own.

Children come to school wanting to create and to be inspired.

The use of an iPad to record their story will instill in them to want to read and write. Children learn best by doing. My students aren't afraid of trying new things because I always tell my students the quote from- Harry Wong," It's okay to make mistakes, that's the way we learn." They will often repeat it when someone makes a mistake.
