Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 25 curious and enthusiastic TK students. Even for their young age, their desire to learn amazes me every day. I teach at Title 1 school, where my students come from low income families but this has never stopped them from wanting to learn more and growing their creative minds. Most of the students who enter the classroom have no school experience and their development come from so many different levels. From the first day they enter, their minds begin to mold into creative beings and I see them grow throughout the year.

With manipulative and appropriate tools for learning, I can create a safe learning environment and engage all learners.

My Project

The use of white boards is daily activity in my Transitional Kindergarten class. We use it in our Writers Workshop, and Math Workshop. During Writers Workshop we use white board to encourage their creativity and help improve their fine motor skills. The students are then given paper to help them draw and write allowing them put their ideas on paper. The clipboards will be useful to hold the paper while they are sitting on the carpet or at the desk. My students will be able to use whiteboard handles during Math workshop will help the student to show their answers up. By donating you will help my student improve writing skills and gain the confidence they need using different writing tools.
