Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have the pleasure of working in an Integrated Co Teaching classroom with an amazing Co-Teacher and the most wonderful groups of students year after year. Some of our students have IEP'S and face additional challenges when it comes to academics, but one thing for sure is our students love to learn each year and always enjoy coming to school.They are always so eager and motivated. Year after year technology is becoming more prevalent in classrooms and in our world in general. More importantly the benefits of working in small groups have shown a significant improvement in my student's educational growth.

The LGStanbyMe will give my Co-teacher and I the ability to break up into smaller groups to help us meet the needs of each of our students.

My group will be be able to use the interactive board to practice heart words, to play math games, and to gather information through videos and online stories. It will also allow them the ability to come up and be the teacher by allowing them to write on the tablet and show their friends what they can do.

The best thing about this product is that its moveable and compact but big enough to meet the needs of a small group. In our small classroom this will be amazing to have the ability to move the smart board around to fit in tight places. The best thing is that it can run on a battery and will give us the ability to take our learning outside our classroom. We can teach in the courtyard when the weather is nice and we can bring our class projects to other rooms to share with other scholars. Our students in our school community are the best. They are incredibly kind, and are such hard workers.
