My Students

Remember the days of the typewriter? Well, now we are in high demand of technology. We have recently purchased laptops for the students to use for projects and intervention programs. If we had a printer, they can use it to print off special projects and reports.

I have 20 amazing, outgoing, energetic young first grade students who look up to me daily.

We represent many parts of the world speak different nationalities. We come from different parts of the city and even from several municipalities. They range from 1st to 5th grade level. We are limited to the amount of time that these students can use this technology My students love a challenge, encourage one another, help when they can and enjoy each others company. They enjoy working on projects and reports together, as well as, independently. This will help them see their final results on paper instead of having to write them out. My school has a technology lab with printers but it is used by over 1,000 students taking Common Core assessments. Therefore, it s not used by our 1st graders very often. We are working on many English/language Arts and Math Intervention programs. This will be very beneficial to my students.

My Project

My students need this printer and cartridge to help them with special projects and research papers. They enjoy doing these special projects but they have to take notes and copy them down on paper. If they had a printer, they would be about to type it and see the results immediately. They could help each other with their typing skills and see how a printer works to see it being reproduced. My students need a new, fun, interactive way to see their research projects being produced. I will be able to print off tests, and results from intervention projects for the students to see immediate results. They can research things of interest and be able to share these items with their classmates. They need this printer to use independently and in small groups to use to help with small group or individual projects. They need a printer to connect to a computer or laptop to use for research projects. This will help them towards a goal to see a project be produced immediately.

This project will help each child feel successful at printing their report or special project they have researched.

Just to see their little eyes sparkle and light up when they see their project be produced immediately instead of waiting while they or someone having to type it up for them. They will be able to print out their own papers and don't have to wait for someone to type it for them or for someone else to print it out. This will help them become independent and produce their own paper.
