My Project

My students range from 4 to 7 years old and have special needs. My students enjoy learning with hands-on materials in English language arts and math.

Hands-on learning encourages multi-tasking through listening, speaking, touching, and using their senses to explore the environment.

My students will benefit from learning new sight words in the activity chest. My students can use the magnetic fun counting activity to help them count and expand their knowledge of numbers. My students are very early learners, and such activities can help them learn their letters, sight words, and numbers. This way of learning allows my students to explore their learning goals in all different kinds of strategies. For my class, Hands-on learning is all about learning through play. As a special education teacher, it is my duty to meet all of the varying needs of the wide variety of learners in my classroom.
