My Students

My classroom is full of inquisitive fourth graders who enjoy learning through hands-on activities and problem solving. My students should have a classroom that incorporates technology into their learning, as they are surrounded by it in their daily lives. My students need a Chromebook to enrich their learning through technology.

Fourth grade is a fundamental year; students have harder academic demands and increased anxiety.

A myriad of teaching strategies and tools will help set these ambitious and enthusiastic students up for success in the 21st century.

My Project

This project is requesting a Chromebook to allow an entire small group access to technology during small class group work and independent learning times. Technology in the classroom will help with the acquisition of knowledge. Technology will provide additional resources for research, reading, writing, and studying. As new literacies include digital and media technologies, it's important the classroom evolves to prepare students for future expectations.

Students may use the Chromebooks to draft, edit, revise and publish their literary works.

They may become book critics and write reviews about their recent reads and practice differing writing styles. Researching for their feature articles and typing in Google Classroom will be made easier with the addition of one more computers in our classroom. Additionally, they may use the Chromebooks to inspire reading and have access to a wealth of information for research and discovery.
