My Project

Hello all,

I run a music club at a school primarily for new arrival English language learners.

Many of our students are being exposed to public music programs for the first time and we emphasize practical learning of piano, guitar, and drums. On Tuesdays we have an open door policy where anyone can come in and pick up a guitar or piano and just start learning from myself or a seasoned music student. Wednesday is our “expert day” where advanced students come to jam, practice, and rehearse for our battle of the band style concerts!

Our space at the moment is an old basement classroom, but since I’ve been able to secure donations for many new instruments I think it’s time I give the room the upgrade it deserves. I am planning to repaint the room and bring in old furniture and carpets to update the room. The sound panels would help us with the open room and sound reflecting every which way - not to mention it would be a great aesthetic. Guitar racks and mounts are greatly helpful as we have to store them in gig bags at the moment and leave them in the corner.
