Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are such great artists! This year, we have created self-portraits, nameplates, compliment pumpkins, and so much more. They are becoming professionals at sketching and using Sharpies to highlight their work. They are becoming more confident in themselves: students who were nervous to pick up a pencil are becoming excited about art! My students have been able to create different types of art, based on what we are learning in Language Arts, Math, and our Social Emotional Learning lessons. Because of all of this, we need to replenish some of our supplies.

With these supplies, my students will be able to make their art pop and put it on display inside and outside our classroom.

Our classroom window is a great place to display our hard work, and we need duct tape to ensure that it stays put. Additionally, because I see how strong my students' love of art is becoming, I am so excited to give them their own pack of clay for different creations.
