Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a College Advisor at JHS, I have had the opportunity to work with our senior class in preparation for their future. Part of that work includes celebrating them at our upcoming College Decision Day, a special day dedicated to celebrating these students and their ambitions after high school. With the majority of our class being first generation, low-income students of underrepresented backgrounds, our goal is to help them feel capable enough to succeed in their post-secondary pursuits.

You can join us in supporting the growth of our students, proving to them that they are seen, not just within the space at JHS, but even among community members such as yourself.

By raffling off items such as a mini fridge, headphones, a printer, and a speaker at our celebration event, students will be better-equipped to transition into their educational plans after high school. Whether they will be at a 4-year institution or a community college, these students deserve to be recognized for their efforts in ensuring a stronger future for themselves.
