Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 5th grade bilingual students are loving and are always ready to learn. They strive to treat each other with respect, love and compassion. In my class room, students feel safe no matter what their background is. Unfortunately, these students come from a low income environment.

I want each and everyone of my students to be able to be successful without financial struggles holding them back.

I believe that every student deserves an equal opportunity to succeed. Learning to read critically will set my kids up for success.

My Project

Reading opens our minds, and provides educational opportunities otherwise unattainable... which can broaden and change our lives. There are numerous reasons why we should all read. Reading these books will help us connect with the world, our past, present and future, it's a way of exploring things out of our grasp. It's a way of escaping. Having these books will help my students stimulates their brain, it will allow them to be enlightened.

Having class sets of these two chapter books will give my students opportunities to create book reports.

Book reports can take on many different forms. They will be able to write plot summaries, character analyses, and theme analyses based on these chapter books.
