Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every year before my students submit their AP 2D Art & Design portfolios (informally known at my school as "AP Photo"), they are required to drive to a local print shop and pay to print their 5 best images for their Selected Works section. This task has always been a struggle for most students; not all have a car, and not all have the extra money or even the extra time to go. With the donation of this color art printer, my students will be able to print their digital photographs from the classroom at no financial cost to them. Not only will this help my AP students build their portfolios, but this will also allow the printing of photographs from all levels of photography students to curate our end-of-the-year art show. At this show, my students will celebrate and show off their creativity and talents through their photography pieces. Thank you for supporting the arts. Arts Matter!
