Our elementary school serves a diverse group of students that are hungry for knowledge and new experiences. When you walk the hallways of our school, you will see smiling faces, a tapestry of culture, hard work and lots of hugs! We are a Title I school, and while many of our students come from lower-income families, I do not want that to be all that people see or remember about our students. Our students are bright and inquisitive, handling adversity with astounding grace. I want everyone to recognize how our students rise to any and every occasion with grit and determination that will soon trail blaze new paths to the future.
Our world faces many issues that do not yet have solutions, but you and I have the opportunity to enable the creativity of this young generation to help find them!

My Project
My students absolutely LOVED the first Snap Circuit kits we received through DonorsChoose, rapidly going through many of the circuitry projects in one day. I quickly realized that we would need more kits so that I could get more students at our Engineering station, instead of them having to wait two to three weeks to get their "hands in the dirt" so to speak.
These new Snap Circuits will deepen my students understand of electrical engineering technology during our Innovation Station time and other engaging labs.
EET is a discipline that has been in high demand over the last few decades and it is a trend that does not appear to be expiring anytime soon! With this project and your help, I will seek to further expose my students to specific, career-oriented curriculum and activities. Help instill a passion for learning in my students while giving them a leg up on learning a skill that can benefit their future!
